"Mom, Putting all the thoughts and feeling into one note is impossible. The one common thought and feeling that has been said by all who truely knew and loved you was that you lived your live with the glass half full not half empty also, your gift of bringing laughter any where you went. I miss our daily talks and you popping into my work, home and lunches at Reidy's. You set a great example of looking foward and not worrying about the things you can't change. I'm trying to keep my promise of remembering you with laughter and joy through sharing all the cherished memories of you when I was a child and as an adult with Chris and your babies. Julia and Olivia Chris and I love you to infinity and beyond. I'm honor to be your daughter. Love Janet"

"To all the Corbins: I first met your mother before any of you were born. We were neighbors at the Chelsea Naval Hospital and I had my Jane and she had Mark at the same time.We used to put the two of them outside in their carriages on the ramp that connected our quarters. After you went to Japan I lost track of you all until I bumped into Anne in the commissary in Newport another many years ago. My Mom used to stop and see her in Tiverton on her way from Everett to Newport. I saw you all when your Dad died and I promised Mark some baby pictures I had of him but I never did get them to him. I am sorry for your loss. These days she was really too young. I only lost my Mom 4 years ago at the age of 97."

"Dear Janet and Chris, We were so sorry to learn of Anne's death. I didn't have much opportunity to be with her, but have witnessed the tremendous impact she had on you and your sisters. Your family closeness and support of each other and as Karen has said, that "wicked sense of humor" all seem to stem from your mother's spirit and magnificent presence in the world. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and we wish you the best for this difficult transition time. We look forward to an opportunity to hear you regale all with fond and funny memories of your beloved mother."

"To the family of Anne Corbin... My gosh how fortunate all of you were to have Anne! She was a formidable woman...a strong lifeforce...someone who would tackle any challenge and come out on top! I had the good luck to meet Anne when she visited her daughter Carol in Stuttgart, Germany in 1987. Since then I was blessed to see and talk with her on numerous occasions. One thing was certain...Anne's love for her children and family was fierce! I will miss her but will always carry wonderful memories of her smile and laughter. Golly what lady! Please accept my sincere condolences and know that all of you will be in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Marcene"
