"To the Seiben family, I remember your past relative as a boy growing up along with Richard Borden and Jesse Chaves. They were always nice and fair to the kids growing up in Portsmouth. That is probably why I chose law enforcement as a carrer. Sorry to hear of your loss. Artie Denman"
"I never knew Mr. S, but I had his grandchildren in class as their teacher at PHS and knew his children in my own time at PHS, and with such wonderful children and grandchildren he must have been a wonderful man and role model. My condolences and sympathies to all."

"To remember "Red" always puts a smile to my face. There, was, of course, the antics of the police parade and his keystone cops motoryclce ride, but I will always remember a certain St Patty's Day parade in NYC. "Red" couldn't ride his bike in the parade because of regulations barring motorized vehicles. He did, however, get it on an elevator and up to the 15th floor of the hotel and proceeded to ride it up and down the hallways. I know, I was there toasting his efforts. Rest in peace old friend!!"
"The Family of Red, You are in our prayers and thoughts during this difficult time.I am sure the memories you all share of Red are sufficient to ease the sorrow. Red,me and John Pierce along with many others attended the State Police academy in Barrington in 1962 before there was any academies for us locals. The school was fun due to Red and his easy going attitude towards life and his respect and friendship for us all. Then a successful career at Portsmouth for many years. From one "old guy" in Middletown to Sergeant Red-may the road be peaceful for you.the best to Mark!
