Tiverton, RI - Kathleen Pavao Silvia, 65, of 645 Fish Road, Tiverton, RI, formerly of Brownell Lane, Portsmouth, died Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Miriam Hospital, Providence, RI.She was the wife of George A. Silvia. Born in Fall River, MA on October 27, 1944, she was the daughter of Antone and Deolinda Garcia Pavao.Mrs. Silvia attended St. Anthonys Church while living in Portsmouth and Holy Ghost while living in Tiverton, where she volunteered with SPRED. She was a member of the Merry Makers of the Westport UCC. Mrs. Silvia enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Besides her husband of 46 years, she is survived by her sons George A. Silvia, Jr. of Westport, MA, and Steven A. Silvia of Tiverton, RI, her brother John Pavao of Portland, ME, her sisters Barbara Miranda of Tiverton, RI, Diane Robert, of Warwick, RI, Nancy Mello of Tiverton, RI, Elaine Cooper of Orange, TX, Pauline Skitzki, and Linda Pendleton both of Portsmouth, RI, three grandchildren, one great grandchild.She was the sister of the late Anthony Pavao. Her funeral will be held on Monday, March 1, 2010, at 9:00 am from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Anthonys Church, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth.Burial will be in Portsmouth Cemetery in Portsmouth.Calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2010, from 4-8 in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Rhode Island Food Bank, 200 Niantic Avenue, Providence, RI 02907.
