Portsmouth, RI - Michael Joseph Oliveira, 58, of 114 Ormerod Avenue, Portsmouth, RI, died Monday, March 29, 2010 at Tufts Medical Center, Boston, MA.He was the husband of Sharon Ann Cook Oliveira. Born in Newport, RI on April 7, 1951, he was the son of the late Joseph E. and Mary Vierra Oliveira.Mr. Oliveira worked as a materials specialist at Raytheon for 30 years. He was a member of the Portsmouth VFW, volunteered with the Portsmouth Little League and Babe Ruth and enjoyed being out on the water kayaking. Besides his wife of 32 years, he is survived by his son Scott M. Oliveira of North Attleboro, MA, his daughters, Michelle M. Oliveira of Melbourne, FL and Bethany A. Bucolo and her husband Michael of Portsmouth, RI, his brothers, Wayne Oliveira and Gary Oliveira of Portsmouth, RI, Keith Oliveira of Seekonk, MA, his sisters, Susan Brown of Northwood, NH and Mary Mello of Bristol, RI, and his grandchildren, Jameson Bucolo and Macey Bucolo. His funeral will be held on Friday, April 2, 2010, at 10:00 am in Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth.Burial will be in Newport Memorial Park in Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2010, from 4-8 in the funeral home.
