"Liz and Krisite, I'm very sorry for your loss. I have many memories of Phil as a young man and father that keep playing through my mind. I hope that your own memories will offer some comfort. Love Aunt Susan"
Phillip E. Brian, 63, of 150 East Shore Road, Jamestown, RI, died Tuesday, October 26, 2010, at South County Hospital, Wakefield, RI. He was the husband of Mary Elizabeth Gayron Brian.Born in New York, NY, on October 27, 1946, he was the son of the late Ernest H. and Mildred Kronk Brian.Phillip grew up in New York and spent his summers on Shelter Island, where he developed a love for the ocean and boats. He spent much of his early life in New York and New Jersey, where he raised his daughter. Phillip began his working career in New York as a purchasing manager. "Liz: Heaven for Philip was when he was sailing, and that is where he is now. It is interesting that Bellaire left RI heading south just about the same time Phil left us. Coincidence? Hard to say. My heart goes out to in this difficult time. Life will be tumultuous for a spell, but the sun will rise again. It's just so tough to get from here to there... ...Rob Lawnsby"

"Dear Liz, What a beautiful summary of your husband's life you composed for all of us to see! We never met him, but he sure was a handsome and talented man. I think of you every day. I know from Cynthia that your husband's passing was a blessing, as he had been so sick for so long. It still must be quite traumatic and shocking for you, however, as death is so perplexing. The finality of your loved-one's life has got to take time and deep emotion to grasp fully. When you are ready, we want to take you to a nice restaurant with friends. You are dearly missed! Love, Catherine and Kris"

"I want to express my sincere condolences to Liz and Kristine. I met Phil only once in 1993 when Liz brought him to the BBH 175th anniversary party. He left a lasting impression on me. I remember him as a strong, silent, and friendly man. I know Phil and Liz had a great partnership. I am truly sorry for the loss."
