"Robert Dixon was an intelligent man and fine father-in-law, and I remember him well from when I was a member of his family for almost 10 years. I spent many hours visiting his house- talking with him about a wide variety of topics. We had many lively conversations about life and politics when I was still a young man trying to sort out things and figure out my place in the world. Some of his most famous statements are still with me to this day. I live thousands of miles away from New England in the haunting desert land of Arizona, but I will always be part New Englander because of Robert Dixon. I will miss talking to him very much, but my memories of him will forever remain vivid."

"So sorry to hear of your loss, it's never easy to lose a parent, no matter the age or circumstances. I fondly remember all the summer evenings we spent picnicking between the houses under the apple tree, idyllic. Take special care of yourselves and each other. CJ"
