"When I first met Joyce she worked at MRC. She was in a way my mentor. That was when she and the Rev Robert Williams were together on this planet. And I say that because she worshiped the Rev Williams. He was the love of her life and helped to create the woman she came to be. I was grateful to have known this Joyce more importantly than all the others. She was just as loyal to all within her realm and loved us to a fault. Once she loved you, there was no turning back and you had to live up to her expectations. Although it may have been some time since my last visit, I know that I never lost my place in her heart. I am more certain of that than anything else. She always knew that she would be with her Robert again one day and now she is. There was a young lady that Joyce had touched her life in a special way that the young lady came across a poem/reading titled Phenomenal Woman (not Maya's.) from a women's event she had attended. It spoke to her and she purchased the recording on cd then presented it to Joyce. She told Joyce that it culminated everything she thought and felt about Joyce. Joyce was moved to pieces, she made us listen to the cd and although she was tickled pink in true Joyce fashion she told us, " I am not a phenomenal woman, I just try my best."
