Somerset, MA - Sally T. (Town) Hathaway, 77, of Somerset, MA, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Mass General Hospital Boston, MA. She was married to her childhood sweetheart David C. Hathaway of Tiverton RI from 1955 until his passing in 1991.Born in Fall River, MA on August 5, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Ina (Flowers) Town. A graduate of Newport School of Nursing in 1954, she practiced 44 years as a Registered Nurse, retiring from the Brecksville VA in Ohio in 1998. She is survived by her loving family, Susan Hathaway of Berkley, MA, Bruce Hathaway and his wife Nancy and their daughter Sara of Tiverton, RI, her sister Jane Dattoli and her husband John of Somerset, MA, her brother H. Sanford Town of Florida, her nephews, Stephen, Scott and Phillip Bodell and Jeffrey, Alan and Matthew Town, and eleven grand nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2013 from 1-3pm in Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, followed by a service at 3 pm with a reception to follow.Donations in her memory may be made to WGBH, One Guest Street, Boston, MA 02135. Used to make me cry, what a beautiful voice. "I didn't know miss Sally personally but I just wanted to say to her family that I am sorry for the loss of her. Just know the bible gives the hope of a resurrection and so Sally had that hope to! Again I'm sorry and I hope everything will be okay."
