"Dr.wilson was my doctor and he was a great one at that I didn't even live in Newport when I was pregnant will any of my children but I traveled to him anyways.. my 3 daughters 7/22/2005 11/20/2007 & 05/19/2009 and they was all c-sections and my last daughter he saved my life.. I owe him that he was really good with me he always took my calls no matter what time and I am so glad I had him.."

"I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Dr. Wilson in the PACU of Newport Hospital, for only 6 years. After the first 2 years, I knew he was the one I would trust with both my life and that of my unborn child's. He was a passionate patient advocate and brilliant at his practice. I had delivered my son in 2007 in Annapolis, Maryland. It was a stressful, scary experience for my husband and myself. In 2010 Dr. Wilson peacefully and beautifully helped deliver my daughter into the world. I eventually told him had she been a boy,I would have named him Wilson. I had such respect for him as a professional and constantly giving health care provider. He once came into the recovery room on an extremely busy night. It was just myself and another nurse cleaning a soiled patient, not even his patient. He wanted to help and was putting the dirty linen away for us. He was respected by many and will be missed dearly. May his family find peace knowing he is now at rest and being taken care of."

"Dr Wilson was a consummate professional. He was the best obstetrician around. He treated everyone with respect regardless of social status or your health insurance. One of the few OB's who would allow you to labor naturally without pushing for (costly) surgery...He saved myself and my daughters life as I crashed on the table during an emergency C-Section. Not only did we both make it through unharmed he skillfully repaired the emergency incision such that it was nearly invisible. I also healed remarkably fast. "I first met Dr Wilson when I arrived as the Newport Navy Pediatrician in 1997. I marveled at his surgical skills and his immediate interest in the newborn baby. He was always calm and in control. "Dr Wilson was an amazing, devoted doctor. He delivered my sweet Cayden boy, my firstborn, and made me feel so comfortable that he knew exactly what he was doing. The nurses tried to make me think I needed an epidural, he came in and said "the hard work is already done, you don't need that!". "I was so Blessed to have Dr Wilson deliver my first son. I was young only 19 and had no idea what to expect. I arrived at the hospital around 10:30 pm after speaking with Dr Wilson on the phone. He was there when I arrived and I was so happy to see him. A friend of mine happen to also be in labor that night and was in the next room from me. Dr Wilson was taking care of both of us, as the hospital was waiting for her Doctor to arrive.....he never did. Though I was in labor all night Dr Wilson stayed with me. At one point one of the nurses was trying to get an IV in and stuck me 13 times with no luck! Dr Wilson said give me that and got my vain on the very first time, though he had been up all night with me! I love him for being so kind, caring and attentive. He will be remembered by many for being the wonderful Dr he was Cynthia"

He touched my heart the time he spent at least 20 extra minutes during my annual exam because he realized how sad I was over the loss of my father. "Night shifts on TBC when Dr Doug was there always made me feel like "Daddy's home" because he always watched over his patients. He never made me feel totally alone with the care of his patients.
