Patricia Joyce (Ross) Nassirou, 67, of Newport died Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Newport Hospital of Newport, RI. Born December 17, 1945 in Newport, RI she was the daughter of the late James Ross and Mary (Hammet) Ross. Aunt Patsy enjoyed singing especially in the choir at Mt. Zion Church where she was a member. Ms. Patsy was a member at the Edward King Center. She was well known for her feeding the homeless and welcomed anyone to her Thanksgiving table. Her joy came from playing Bingo, loving her family and her beloved dog Sweety. She is survived by her children, Andra Hatcher of New Haven, CT, Celeste Alexander of Atlanta, GA, Monique Wright of Charleston, SC and Kenneth Blane of Newport, RI, her siblings Royann Cockburn of Newport, RI, Kathy Del Rio of Portsmouth, RI, Margaret Ross of San Diego, CA and Jeffrey Munford of Providence, RI, eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.She was the sister of the late James Ross, Peter Ross and Curtis Munford. Calling hours will be held on, Tuesday, October 22, 2013, from 9-11am in the Community Baptist Church, 50 Dr. Marcus Wheatland Boulevard, Newport, RI. Her funeral will follow at 11:00 am.Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt.
