Mrs. Lisa Ann Silvia
December 19, 1960 - March 29, 2014

Lisa Ann (Wilkinson) Silvia Middletown, - Lisa Ann (Wilkinson) Silvia, 53, of Middletown, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family and friends on March 29th, 2014 at home after a long, courageous battle with cancer.Born in Newport, RI on Dec. 19, 1960, she was the daughter of Lucy Ripa, Ray Wilkinson, and step-daughter of Frank McCulley. She is survived by her husband George E. Silvia Jr, her son George E. Silvia III, his wife Megan, and her daughter Stacy Silvia all of Middletown, RI. She is also survived by her siblings Lori Wilkinson Stewart, Leslie Wilkinson Flynn, Frank McCulley, Raymond Wilkinson, Brian Wilkinson, her niece Sarah Stewart, and nephews, Ryan Wilkinson, and Kyle Saulnier and her grandson Jaxsin Silvia. Prior to her illness, Lisa worked as a supervisor at Navy Gateway Inn and Suites at Naval Station Newport and was very involved with her husband's business George's Grading Service as well as at the Best Western Mainstay Inn in Newport, RI.She enjoyed her employment interacting with the public. Lisa was a caring person who went out of her way to help anyone in need. She touched the lives of all who knew her including the staff at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. She was an exceptional cook, was well known for her "famous meatballs" and Christmas cookies. Lisa loved the beach and spending time with family, friends, and grandson, Jaxsin. She enjoyed playing Bingo and cards with friends and was an avid reader. Her funeral will be held on Friday, April 4th, at 9:00am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Lucy's Church 909 West Main Rd. Middletown.Lisa's wishes are to have calling hours omitted with a celebration of life to follow the funeral. Burial will be private.In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society of Rhode Island, 931 Jefferson Blvd., Suite 3004, Warwick, RI 02886.
