Julie J. Peabody, 53, of Middletown died Saturday, March 12, 2016 at home in Middletown. Born on April 25, 1962 in Phoenix, AZ, she was the daughter of Restcom E. and Merah (Pratt) Peabody of Middletown.Julie graduated from Barrington High School and went on to receive her Master's Degree in social work from Roger Williams University and worked at TriTown Elderly Care. She committed her life to her family and preserving the memory of Peabody's BeachShe is survived by her children, Tim LaFazia of the Netherlands, Tara Brown of Humble, TX, Theressa Chastain of Humble, TX, Guy Akucewich of Middletown, RI, Geilyn Akucewich of Warren, RI and Geoffrey Akucewich of Middletown, RI, her siblings, Kim Bousquet of Vista, CA, Kristin Sahagian of Warren, RI and Gregory Peabody of Middletown, RI and nine grandchildren.She was the mother of the late Matthew Akucewich.Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 18, 2016 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM, in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.Funeral services will be held Saturday, at 9:00AM from the Memorial Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 10:00AM in Middletown Cemetery, Turner and Wyatt Road, Middletown, RI.
