Gloria Gene Ivey, 70, of Lawrenceville Georgia passed away on January 24, 2017.The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. January 28, 2017 at Gregory B. Levett and Sons funeral home located at 914 Scenic Highway, Lawrenceville, GA 30045 (770) 338-5558. Pastor Rodney Massey of Berean Bible Church will be officiating. Visitation will be held between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Gregory B. Levett and Sons funeral home. Burial service will take place at Newport Memorial Park located at 123 Howland Avenue Middletown, RI 02842 (401) 846-0136 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will take place Monday from 9:30-10:30am in the funeral home. Georgia funeral service arrangements are being handled by Gregory B. Levett and Sons, while Memorial Funeral Home, located at 375 Broadway Newport, RI 02840 (401) 846-0350 is handling Rhode Island funeral service arrangements.Gloria was born in Newport Rhode Island on June 13, 1946 to Opie P. Triplett and Elizabeth Gray. She was raised in Johnston Rhode Island by Julius and Florence Ingram with family members: Richard Ingram, Winifred Bonner, Joseph Butler, Joseph DeBritto, and Howard Lambert along with additional beloved family members.Gloria graduated from Johnston High School and continued her education at the Community College of Rhode Island.Gloria was married to Russell Ivey on August 23, 1969; they were married forty-seven years.Gloria worked as an accounting clerk for Federal Products for 14 years, and contributed to several other companies until permanently retiring from the workforce in 2009. She enjoyed volunteering at church, spending time with her family and friends, going to the beach, baking (especially for others), listening to music, watching movies, being a cheerleader at her children's and grandchildren's sporting events, couponing and shopping, watching the Dallas Cowboys, and coloring. She was also actively involved with various charities and organizations such as Rainbow Village, Samaritan Purse, Christ Church Thrift shop, local food banks, and her church.Gloria is survived by her spouse Russell Ivey, Children: Melissa Ivey and Russell Ivey (Dana Ivey); Grandchildren: Jordan Noil, Morgan Noil, Evan Ivey, Kendall Ivey; Cousins Douglas A. Gray Jr. and Linda M.
