"I remember how anxious and nervous to start my Rook year at Norwich. My sister was corporal cadre and I didn't want to be early, but it just happened that way. COL (retired) and Mrs. Braman offered to host me, I was so thankful! It was a hard year especially since my parents were overseas. They opened up there home to me and my siblings throughout my time at Norwich. Mrs. B was like a surrogate mama to me, she provided yummy meals, came to my first parents weekend and soo much encouragement when I needed it. Truly a beautiful woman inside and out. Love you Mrs. B and you will be missed!"
"Even when I had trouble being social and thought I couldn't get out of the house, she was a true P.E.O. sister and made sure that I stayed active and involved. It was only years later when I realized how much she helped me. She will be sorely missed."

"I new Nancey very well her children twin brothers and there sister, I worked for Rick. She was a very thoughtfull person, and a lot of fun to be around, although I had not seen her in years when Rick notified me I must say it hurt. Many years back when Rick was commander at Quonset, he had a problem Nancey was in PA. And he had someone who was going to driver her back and it fell apart. So as worker and friend I said I will drive her. Oh boy she and the kids got a ride but it never did seem to bother her and she never had Rick fire me. And she was very nice to me at all times a great woman. Charles E. Wilcox"
