"Mary Ellen was one of my best childhood friends. Monica, Mar and I went to school at The Convent of the Sacred Heart in Greenwich. It was a haul...car, train and bus every morning. Boy, did we have fun! Spent weeks each summer in RI with Mar's sweet grandmother whom we lovingly called "Old Fitzgerald". We went our separate ways but Mar was a bridesmaid at my wedding in 1970. She then moved to Chicago, and I spent 4 years teaching there while husband in med school. After that we lost touch but I found her years later in RI via computer. We were Facebook friends. I regret not reaching out to her and getting a nay car and driving to see her now. May she Rest In Peace now I miss you Mar. My condolences to all who loved and cherished her."

"I was lucky to know Mary for awhile . She was funny and loved watching Wheel of Fortune & Jeopardy. She was pretty good at guessing the answers. She would say Im not going to watch football game if it was on at the same time as those 2 programs unless the Patriots are playing. My sincere sympathies to all the family & friends & to John & Kim I feel like I know you both ."

"Mary Ellen was a good friend when we were at Elmhurst and always made us laugh. If you lived it, you would have a lot of great stories as well. Only she and I will know how we successfully managed to swap dates at our Junior Prom and spent many an hour laughing about it. She will be dealy missed by Nancy, Joan, Jo, Shermy, Josie, Lillian, JoAnn, Marian, Sue, the other Mary Ellen and me.Sandy Lane Cross Elmhurst '64"
