May 1, 1951 - December 27, 2017

Sally Goddin, 66, of Newport departed peacefully at home Christmas 2017 into her Savior's arms. Ms. Goddin was born May 1, 1951 in Providence, RI. She is the daughter of the late Conway and the late Evelyn Faye (Clapp) Goddin of East Greenwich, RI.Sally's childhood passion was horse riding. After high school in Warwick, she developed a very strong love of eclectic art, music, and interior design while studying in France and traveling abroad.Upon her return to Newport, Sally spent several years as the inn keeper at the Inn of Jonathan Bowen and then worked closely with her dad before assuming ownership of his appliance business upon his death in 1993.She overcame a long period of addiction with the support and love of her AA members and was completely set free upon meeting Jesus Christ and gaining her beloved family at Newport Community Church.Sally was a truly unique individual; happy, joyous, and free. A life very well-lived. She is survived by her brother Stewart Goddin, two nieces Tanya Goddin and Nichole Knott all of Virginia.A memorial service will be held on Sunday January 14, 2018 at 11:30 AM in Newport Community Church, 100 Touro Street, Newport, RI.Burial will be privateMemorial donations may be made in her name to: Newport Community Church, 100 Touro Street, Newport, RI 02840 or Potter League for Animals, PO Box 412, Middletown, RI 02842.
