John Foster, age 74, of Quincy, died Thursday, July 9, 2020, at 4:35 am in Blessing Hospital.

John was born February 22, 1946 in Lincoln, Nebraska, the son of Robert Eugene and Doris Mae Foster. He married Yaneth Bohorquez on September 9, 2006 in Keokuk, IA. She survives.

John received his Bachelor's of Science in Business from Culver-Stockton College in 1969. After graduation, he began his employment with UPS as a driver. Eventually, he moved into the business office, from where he was promoted to regional manager. In his spare time, John enjoyed fishing and bike riding. John will always be remembered as a devoted husband and son-in-law who would do anything to help Yaneth's family.

In addition to his wife, survivors include: his son, Joshua J. Foster of Tampa, FL; his sister, Lori (Kent) Bawden of Keokuk, IA; and three nephews, Korey (Joanna) Bawden of Winter Garden, FL, Kaleb Bawden, stationed in Spain with the United States Air Force; and Kegan (Markie) Bawden of Keokuk, IA.

John was preceded in death by his parents.

Services: 2:00 pm Monday, July 13, 2020 at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, with Father Tom Donovan officiating.

Burial: Quincy Memorial Park, Quincy, Illinois

Visitation: 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Monday July 13, 2020 at

"John and I met at Culver -Stockton College. We pledged the same fraternity and I was his pledge father. He took me to many County Fairs transporting Wishbone and Mushy, the Prairie Farms "milk" horses. There are a lot of good memories that I will cherish."
