"Dear Marvin and Jan, We just learned yesterday about Kenton, and our thoughts and prayers are with you during this very challenging time. We know you are relying heavily on our Lord's peace and strength as you face these days without Kenton. We were so pleased that he called us while in San Diego and we were privileged to share a meal while he attended a conference. You can be so proud that you raised a very caring, loving son who had the biblical traits of a Christian in the image of Christ. Know that we sorrow with you but "not as the world sorrows" for we shall see him and our Lord one day "Face to Face." Caring for you as you accept Christ's love, peace and comfort. Vance and Marilyn Yoder"
"Marvin and Jan, I am deeply saddened to hear of Kenton's passing. I was in Kenton's graduating class at MPCHS in 1989 and became good friends during those last years of high school. He was a genuine and kind friend and impossible not to like. I was glad to get to know you, his parents, in the subsequent years. Though our paths have not crossed in more than a decade, I remember times together with Kenton as if they yesterday. I am glad that he held a strong faith in the Lord and showed that in how he lived. Our loss is heaven's gain, but that can hardly ease the pain of parents losing their grown son. Our prayers and thoughts are with you. May you find much strength and hope in God in these difficult days."
"I am deeply sorry for the loss of your loved one. I worked with Kenton at the Atlanta Airport Marriott. He was a very nice and sweet person. May God Bless and Keep your family. Sincerely, Karen"
"Dear Yaley Family, It was a pleasure to know Kenton. I had the pleasure of working with Kenton at the Atlanta Airport Marriott many years ago. I remember him fondly to have a sweet nature, pleasant to work with and ever so helpful. I am very sorry we did not have the chance to meet up again. Kenton had a smile that I will always remember. Dear Family, I am so sorry for your loss but hope you will take comfort in knowing that Kenton was a special person to many and he brought a smile to several. God bless you."

"Jan, Marvin and Kim, My grief is overwhelming and I cannot imagine what you all are going through. My family and I were so blessed to be able to spend so much time with Kenton while he lived in Atlanta. I will always cherish the memories of all the holidays we shared together when he couldn't make it home to Iowa, the Thanksgiving you and Marv came to Atlanta, and our trip out to "the farm." My only comfort is knowing that he is in a much better place now. We all loved him so much."
"Jan and Marvin, I was shocked to hear about Kenton. I still remember when you baby sat me and I used to sit on the couch and watch Kenton come down the steps every morning for school. I hope you find peace knowing that he is with God. I will be thinking of you all."
"I am the Office Coordinator for the Hospitality programs at Kirkwood. I only knew Kenton for a short time however I consider myself blessed to have known and worked with him. We shared office space until his office was available. We talked, shared stories and we ate lunch together many times. I feel like I have known him for many years and the loss, for me, is great! The Lord's gain is Kirkwood's loss. Know that you are all in my prayers and several of the faculty and I will be attending visitation and/or the services. If you need anything related to Kenton's work at Kirkwood feel free to call me at any time 319-398-5468 God Bless you"

"Jan and Marv, I was shocked to hear about your loss when I saw it in the internet obituaries on line. I have a picture of him in Pat McNeeley and my apartment on Broadway in Mt Pleasant when he was just a newborn and then later when he played piano or organ at church. May God be with your family in this very trying time, but also as his life is celebrated!"

He is alive in many memories with all his friends. He will be deeply missed. My prayers are with his family."
