"To Bob and all of Carolyn's family - I knew Carolyn when I sang with her in Sweet Adelines Cross County Chapter (Mt. Pleasant and Ft. Madison/Burlington). Carolyn was a very dear friend with a caring heart and would do anything for anyone. She was a sweetheart for sure. After I moved to Des Moines 20+ years ago, we lost touch of each other, but kept in contact through yearly Christmas cards. May God grant her the peace she so deserves. Rest in peace, Carolyn, and I hope you know that you were loved by many and will be missed. In sympathy and love, Marjorie (Mellinger-Smith) Roth and family."
