"Dear Jay & Beth Anne, I watched Elizabeth's son Leo so she could attend Bernie's funeral. The other grandmum watched Sophie....they are a handful together. I'm glad Elizabeth was able to attend & cekebrste his life! As many people have already expressed, there are no words to say in this happening....my heart has been so saddened & grieved over this. I will carry you in my heart & thoughts for a long time. My prayer also is for young people who were gathered to hear the minister speak, that the Holy Spirit will minister & bring Jesus into their hearts deeper. Live & comfort as you walk the path of healing. Meg S."

"Bernie and I started Centerpoint at the same time. I purposely don't get close to people but Bern jumped over all of my barriers and became a really great Friend. We texted or IM'd almost everyday when returning home, talking about everything from work to what's going on in the world. I'll miss his affectionate but weird laugh and his insight!! This world needed him, I love you Bern!! Latisha"

"So sorry for your loss Jay abd Beth Anne. We loved watching Bernie so much in all those sports he enjoyed at CCS. Of all the memories we have of Bernie the one that sticks out the most is the week he went with Ian, a few CCS buds and us to my parents cabin over near Turtle Lake, Wisconsin. I remember you dropping him off Beth Anne with a sleeping bag, pillow and a grocery bag that had his clothes, a huge jar of peanut butter and 3 boxes of Ritz crackers on it. And the entire week except for steak night, Jill and I could not get that kid to eat anything other than peanut butter crackers! ??? He was something else and will be missed."
