In loving memory of

Marsha Ann Wasson
August 9, 1941 - July 24, 2020

Marsha Ann Wasson, 78, of Rochester, MN went home to be with her Lord on Friday, July 24, 2020, surrounded by many of her family at The Waters on Mayowood in Rochester.

Marsha was born on August 9, 1941 to Horace C. Daniels and Evelyn M. (Baker) Daniels in Elmira, NY. She graduated from Harpursville Central High School in 1960. She married Lloyd Alan Wasson of Harpursville, NY on October 22, 1960 at the Harpursville Methodist Church.

Marsha was dedicated to raising her family, taking an active role in the activities her children and grandchildren enjoyed! Her Christian faith was important to her and she enjoyed volunteering at church, singing in the choir and working in the church office. Over the years she enjoyed bowling, biking, and playing in a card club. She was blessed with many dear friends. More recently, Marsha and Lloyd found the Resounding Voices Chorus a fun and fulfilling activity.

Marsha was preceded in death by her birth parents, her stepmother Wilma Daniels Baldwin, and a brother Errick. She is survived by her husband Lloyd, her children: Steve (Susan) Wasson, Mary (Paul) Honermann, Timothy (Kimbra) Lee-Wasson, and Cindy (Clint) Baumgartner and 8 grandchildren.

The family extends a special thanks to the staffs of Mayo Clinic Hospital, Saint Marys campus, The Waters on Mayowood, Mayo Hospice, Visiting Angels, Madonna Towers, and Rochester Rehabilitation and Living Center for the exceptional care and support given to Marsha and her family over the past 5 years.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m on Monday, July 27th at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home, 5421 Royal Place NW Rochester, MN 55901. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Due to Covid-19, safety guidelines and masks will be required for all visitations and services.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given to Resounding Voices, a community choir for people with dementia and mild memory loss. They enabled her to continue to enjoy music after suffering a stroke over 5 years ago. Read about it and donate using the link at https://www.resoundingvoices.org/. Checks may also be sent to Resounding Voices 1530 Greenview Dr SW, #120, Rochester MN 55902

"Dear Lloyd and family, You may not remember me as I met Lloyd while going to computer classes at the Sr.Center. I never had the honor of meeting your dear wife Marsha but wanted to give you my deepest sympathy Lloyd in the loss of your loved one. I will always remember how helpful you were to me in class and even coming to help me out in my home. May God be with you at this sad time and bless you continually. Enjoy all those beautiful memories you have had with Marsha. Audrey Folkert"

"Mary Pat and I have known Lloyd and Marsha since they and I joined Bethany at the same time (Dec, 1974). They were rejoining after returning from Florida and I was joining Bethany for the first time. It wasn't long before I joined Lloyd, singing Bass in the choir. Marsha was two rows ahead of us, singing Soprano. Mary Pat and I next joined Lloyd, Marsha, and others in a 500 card club. However, my favorite past-time with Lloyd and Marsha was riding bikes . My recollection is that we started riding together in 2000 even though I don't have any photos until July 5th, 2003 on the Root River Trail. Our most memorable bike ride has to be riding the full week of RAGBRAI in 2005 with Lloyd and Marsha. I already posted (by accident) a couple of photos of that event. Only one of them was correctly identified (in Fenton, IA with Captain Cornielus.) The other photo was taken in Cresco, IA where Lloyd and Marsha can be seen posing with Ken & Sheila Lettow of Cresco, our overnight hosts. Sheila was a high school classmate of Mary Pat's MANY years ago. We're going to REALLY MISS you Marsha."

"So many great memories of our days together at Bethany Church. Marsha and Lloyd such loyal members and good friends. Barb and I extend our prayers to Lloyd and the family. We had hoped to come down for the service but I am scheduled to help out at a funeral that day in St. Cloud. We will be there in spirit."
