"Paul you were a good friend and a good Mounted Policemen. You served our country and the City well. I?ll remember the tons of jokes in the squad room from Pauly-Wog. Strong character.... On a lighter note, I didn?t remember until my daughters told me about one of the times you came over and gave them a ride in your ?Mustang? and the girls thought they were living through an episode of the ?Dukes of Hazard? Those times that you dropped by will forever be pleasant memories. God Bless you Paul. Mike Lesperance "

"Generosity comes in many different forms. We will always remember Paul for his generous spirit by the way he showed his care and concern for those whom he loved, for his service to his country (U.S. Army) and the Detroit Police Department (Mounted Division), for giving help without being asked, for his ability to make us laugh, and for his stories of times gone by when life seemed less complicated and carefree. Godspeed, Paul. You will always be in our hearts. We hope they have Mustangs in heaven. Sharon, Tom, Lauren & Michael Prais"

"VFW BRUCE POST SCS. We extend our condolences for your loss of a loved one. We do our best to provide a proper Military Funeral for our fellow Veterans. We are an all volunteer team and ask for at least a Twenty-Four Hour notification for a ceremony. I did try to muster enough members to do a proper ceremony. On such short notice it just wasn't possible. With proper notice we can do a Memorial Ceremony just about any where. with no cost or fee. "

Joe MacDonald wrote on Jul 26, 2020:

"One of my best friends in my career at Mounted. One thing that many people did not know was that he served in Vietnam during the Tet offensive, and I admired him for that. You always knew when Paul was in the barn because even after a hard day on the street he kept us laughing. We had a word that we made up for Paul, "jockularity" because we were always laughing when he was in the barn, playing practical jokes on each other. On the street he was a dedicated Police Officer. I will miss you my Brother, and long live Rock and Roll. "
