In loving memory of

Brian Thomas Cassidy

Brian Thomas Cassidy, age 48, of Phoenix AZ passed away of natural causes on July 15, 2020. He is survived by his wife of 23 years Joanne Annunziata Cassidy, his parents Thomas and Joan, his brother Michael and sister Shannon as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Brian was born in Teaneck and raised in Ridgefield Park and Bogota New Jersey and was the oldest of 3 children. He was always helpful with and was a role model to his younger brother and sister. Brian was caring and compassionate, fearless and made friends wherever he went.

Brian married his high school sweetheart Joanne in 1998 and they moved to Arizona shortly after. He worked as a Senior Risk Claims Adjuster for the state of Arizona and was respected and admired by his coworkers.

Brian will be remembered for his kind and generous heart as well as his quirky sense of humor. He had a strong sense of family and loyalty as well as a strong belief in God. Brian loved history almost as much as he loved the Yankees and his pets.

"I only recently learned of Brian\'s passing, and I am so full of sorrow to know that he left all of those who so loved him at such a young age! I worked with Brian in Phoenix many years ago. I liked him from the get-go as he was a \"man\'s man\" who was fearless in every aspect of his life. When I learned that Brian & Joanne had lived and been married in Bogota at St. Joseph\'s Church, I was amazed. My sister and brother-in-law also lived in Bogota and attended St. Joseph. That connection sealed my friendship with Brian & Joanne and endeared me to them as well. Sadly, I lost contact with Brian & Joanne after several job changes on our part, but I never forgot them, especially when I was in Bogota, NJ. I learned about some great eating establishments there and always recall the wedding photo of Brian & Joanne taken on the steps of the Church which Brian kept on his desk at the office! Joanne, I loved what you wrote and how blessed you both were to have been married for 23 years. You were a couple made-in-heaven. Joanne and Brian\'s Family and Friends, please accept my deepest condolences and know that from the day I learned that Brian had left all of us, for much greener pastures, he has been in my daily prayers for the repose of his soul. Since all humans must face the same \"Four Last Things\" (death, judgment, heaven or hell) and we know not the disposition of one\'s soul at the moment of Judgment, we must endeavor to pray constantly for his soul. Rest assured that the more of us who do that, the greater will be the efficacy of our prayers for Brian! Requiescat in pace, Brian, and \"May his soul and the souls of the faithful departed, through the Mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.\" RIP, my friend! "

"Brian you were the nicest kid. I remember every snowstorm we had you would see my father in law come out with his shuffle and two minuets later there you were helping him. It was an honor to know you. Gone way to soon. RIP Carole and George Hookings"

" Brian Cassidy..gone way to soon!..the little league baseball games and more... down the shore. Yankees games 1996 NYY playoffs and world series..the Group was there. Brian was naturally funny and down to earth loved life, Joanne, his family, his friends, his colleagues and of course the NYY. His godson Dylan will miss the surprises that he would send especially when it was not a special occasion. The Group has lost another...14 yrs ago Mark Gnecco and now Brian..I can see them both throwing that baseball around years ago and now to each other. Brian you are so missed and will not be forgotten. Joanne, my heart still hurts for you....."
