Mildred Harkness, 92, of Elmwood, formerly of Odessa, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 26, 2020, at Sunset Manor in Canton.
Born in Elmwood on February 4, 1928, Mildred was the daughter of the late Maurice Samuel Super and Marjorie Jane White-Super.
She married Duane Harkness who preceded her in death on June 1, 2002.
Surviving are five children, Peggy (Walter) LaFollett, Bill (Shirley) Harkness, Eddie (Gayla) Harkness, Jodi Garcia, and Chris Backlund; one step-daughter, Anita (Bill) Harris; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Patricia Pittman.
She was preceded in death by one stepson, Charles Harkness; one brother, Bill Super; and one sister, Ruth Dodd.
A graveside service will be held with immediate family only.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the home of Peggy and Walter LaFollett.
Memorials may be made to Elmwood United Methodist Church or Moose Charities.
