"I met Stan in 1967. He was the best man when I married Frank Roselione in 1968. I have many fond and happy memories of Stan. He was like a brother to me. There are so many good things I could say about Stan, he was kind, smart, funny, a good friend and I loved him dearly. The one picture is Stan with Frank. The other picture is of all of us with a ?friendship? quilt I made from calendar towels that Stan gave me every Christmas since 1978. Fond memories continued to be made when he married Ceinwen. Ceinwen made Stan very happy and Stan loved his family very much. Rest In Peace dear friend I miss you terribly. "

Stanley Carmel Gadiel, died peacefully on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at his home in Meadowbrook, PA. He was 77 years old.
Born in Philadelphia, Stan was the son of the late Egon and Elizabeth (Northrup) Gadiel and brother of the late David Gadiel. He attended Olney High School and participated in organizing their Class of 1960 reunions over the years. He was a graduate of Temple University, where he was a member of the Sigma Pi Fraternity and is still fondly referred to by his fraternity brothers as "Padre". He went on to receive his Master's Degree in Education from Temple University as well. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Stan was a project manager at Unisys for over 35 years prior to his retirement in 2006.
Stan was a talented athlete and an avid golfer. He was a volunteer for the Golf Association of Philadelphia and served as President and Team Captain of the Unisys Golf League. He coached and played soccer, and loved skiing his way around the world. Stan was a huge fan of the Rolling Stones, playing Bridge and socializing with friends (often while enjoying his famous margaritas). After retirement, he became a Florida snowbird and spent many warm winters in Longboat Key, FL.
Stan is survived by his beloved wife of 17 years, Ceinwen A. Schreiner. He was the dear father of Josh Ercole and his wife Molly, of Ambler, and Kyle Gadiel and his wife Alex, of Phoenixville. He was the loving grandfather of Campbell Ercole.
Funeral Services will be held at a later date.

As a former colleague and current friend of Ceinwen, I didn't know Stan very well since we met briefly at meetings in locations with good golfing that appealed to Stan. "Over the years, I usually went to lunch or dinner with Stan every time I went to Blue Bell for Unisys. We have a favorite cheesesteak place called Charlie's. Back in those days, he was a bachelor. After he got married, he and Ceinwen had me over for dinner one night. A few years back, my wife and I stopped and had lunch with him in Plymouth Meeting. Stan was older than most of us and became a confidant and mentor. We grew to be good friends over the years and Stan was in my wedding party. He also attended my military retirement party in 1996. As a U.S. Navy veteran he completed his service to our nation before he attended Temple University and, lucky for us, he decided to become a member of our fraterinity, Sigma Pi. Since his tour in the Navy made him more ?chronologically gifted? then most of us, we looked to him for advice. He often took it upon himself to preach his words of wisdom to the lunchtime gatherings at the Fraternity House.
