In loving memory of

Alice Jean Hollenbach
May 12, 1948 - July 29, 2020

Alice Jean (Oehler) Hollenbach, age 72 of Rochester, MN passed away on July 29, 2020 at her home from complications of Huntingtons Disease.
Alice was born to Earl and Leta (Martin) Oehler on May 12, 1948 in Cincinnati, OH as one of 14 siblings. Alice and 2 of her younger brothers were relocated to Rochester, MN to live with their Aunt and Uncle due to Alice's mother's death and her father was ill with cancer. This was incredibly sad for her to leave her Dad behind and move. Alice graduated from John Marshall High School in 1968 and she loved her black and red school colors and still did to this day. After high school she married and had 2 daughters, Kari Conant and Shari (Steve) Hamilton. The couple later divorced. Alice met Rod in June 1986 and married in December, a romance that lasted 33 years and to the day she passed away. Alice loved her family and especially her granddaughter, Hailee Prigge and her two great grandchildren, Bentley and Braxlynn. Alice worked at the State Hospital in Rochester as a psychiatric tech until it closed and met a lifelong friend, Chrissy who also was one of her caregivers. Her only other job was at Rochester Public Utilities as a purchasing clerk where she also met a dear friend, Kathy. Alice and Kathy shared many laughs at work. Alice always had the MN Twins in view during the summer, she liked her baseball. She also liked gardening, dancing, yahtzee and most of all she was just an amazing, resilient woman with a good sense of humor and a great outlook for life.
A special thanks to the staff at Mayo Hospice Team and the Mayo Primary Care House Calls Program Team, they all gave her the loving care that she deserved.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 3, 2020 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes (5421 Royal Place NW Rochester, MN). Burial will take place at Oakwood East Cemetery.
