William Joseph Martel died peacefully July 30, 2020 at the age of 85. Dear father of Christopher William Martel (Jennifer), Michele Suzanne Ward, and William Joseph Martel Jr. (Anne Lee). Loving grandfather of Emily Bush (Jonathan Marofsky), Jesse Ward (Paul Katrich), Tabetha Martel (Josh Kolodzaike), Kyle Martel and Bella Varacalli, proud great grandfather of Lucy Marofsky and companion to his dog, Buddy. Bill was an avid hobbyist whose interests included woodworking and model airplanes. He retired from Chrysler after almost 30 years of employment, but was more proud of the fact that he was retired for even longer than he worked. Limited visitation Wednesday, August 5th from 11am until 4pm at Chas. Verheyden, Inc., 43300 Garfield Rd. (N. of 19 Mile Rd.), Clinton Twp. Per Covid-19 mandates, only 10 people will be allowed in at one time and face masks are required. A graveside service will take place Thursday, 11:00am, at Roseland Park Cemetery (Corner of Woodward and 12 Mile Rd), Berkley.
