A Celebration of Life for Maggie Flint will begin at 12:00 p.m. Friday, August 14, 2020 at Loomis Park in Fort Dodge. Please join the family in wearing purple for domestic violence awareness. We would ask that everyone comes and goes on two wheels if possible; Maggie loved motorcycles and biking. Masks are encouraged while greeting the family.
Maggie was born October 6, 1981 in Denver, Colorado. Her mother was a traveling nurse, therefore Maggie lived in many places. As a teenager she settled in Fort Dodge. She attended Iowa Central and received her associate degree in Psychology. Maggie worked for Elanco for over 14 years.
Maggie Ann was a creative soul. If she was not painting and drawing, Maggie could be found carving. She was never the typical lady. She liked throwing knives and fishing for sport. Sometimes you could find her under a welding helmet or turning a wrench working on a motor. She shared her passion for music plucking on her guitar and banjo. She loved gardening and her favorite flower was a magnolia.
Maggie was tragically killed August 5, 2020. In remembrance of Maggie please use #sayhername in any tributes for her and all those suffering domestic violence. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
Left behind to celebrate the life of Ms. Maggie are her children, Justice Flint-Bozeman (Drew Marrs), Donavon Carter, and Keaton Adams all of Fort Dodge and her four sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mike Buchart and Jean Nelson.

"Maggie, I never got to meet you, but we talked on the phone a few times because of your Dad. I know he loved you so much. He bragged on you & how strong you were. He talked about you riding your Harley, welding, raising your children. He showed me pictures of you, your children, your hallway with all the guitars (that sticks in my mind for some reason). He was so proud of you. He would have lost your mind if he was still here. Life isn't fair, Maggie. It isn't right that somebody got close enough to you to kill you. Your children are going to be at such a loss for a good while & that is so wrong. You were their rock. Who is going to be their rock now? I pray for justice. I pray your children heal. I pray for peace for you."
