Dennis Edward Miller
November 11, 1950 - August 17, 2020

Dennis Edward Miller, 69, of Allison, passed away Monday, August 17, 2020, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. He was born November 11, 1950, in Waterloo, Iowa, to Joe and Vera (Groen) Miller. Vera passed away when Denny was two and he was raised by his grandparents Ed & Follie Miller.

Denny graduated from Allison Bristow High School, class of 1969. He was united in marriage to Brenda Konig on August 11, 1972, at Trinity Reformed Church in Allison. Denny worked at Brandt Elevators and Ag Limited, as well as for the City of Allison. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, especially going on Casey's runs with them. Denny took pride in his 1946 Allis Chalmer, was an avid Packers fan and loved to lend a helping hand. It warmed his heart to help others.

Denny is survived by his wife Brenda Miller of Allison; sons Eric (Michelle) Miller of Grinnell, Michael "Mikey" (Jodi) Miller of Allison, and Nicholas "Joey" (Tiffany) Miller of Shell Rock; grandchildren Austin, Peyton (friend Sidney Gard), Trenton (fiancé Caitlyn Criswell), Clayton, Carter, Makenna, Graci, Makenzie and Macoy; siblings Bobby Jo (Pat) Miller, Darla (Keith) Scott, Bonnie (Duffy) Gangsei, Tim (Julie) Miller, Robin (Bill) Curler, and Kevin Miller; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Jamie Miller, granddaughter Mollee Miller and step-mother Marlene Miller.


A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 21, 2020, at the Wilder Park chapel, 22301 Highway 3, Allison, Iowa. Family and friends should bring a chair. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 20, 2020, at the Sietsema Vogel Funeral Home in Allison.
