Rose M. Nelson
Canton -Rose Marie Nelson, 92, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2020 at her residence.
She was born on October 23, 1927 in rural Canton to Ernest and Ruth (Corbin) Schenck. They preceded her in death.
She married Marion L. Nelson on June 9, 1951 in Canton. He preceded her in death on March 7, 1999.
Surviving are her children Jerry (Lin) Nelson of New York, Jeff Nelson of Peoria, two grandchildren, Derek, Emily, and Wass, and one great grandchild, Zealand.
Also preceding her in death is one son, Willard Nelson, one brother, Ernest "Junoir" Schenck Jr., three sisters, Eileen Medus, Shirley Zaborac, and Virginia Schenck.
Rose was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Canton where she volunteered her time.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church in Canton where visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Due to Covid mandates masks are required to be worn in the church and social distancing will be practiced.
Burial will be held immediately following the services at White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton.
