The daughter of Orville and Sarah (Den Otter) Masters, Eloise was born on June 12, 1937, along with her twin Eleanor in Newton, Iowa. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1955.

Eloise lived her whole life in Monroe, working at Duncan's Restaurant and later at Pella Windows (Rolscreen). She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Monroe where she enjoyed working with the kids in AWANA.

One of the many wonderful characteristics that defined Eloise was her unconditional and selfless love of family and others. This was shown by how she was like a second mother to her nieces and nephews and all the neighborhood kids. Happy memories include going to the park across from their house and stopping in for some water or snacks after playing. She could be seen cheering on her nieces and nephews at all their many activities. Eloise loved gardening and turned her yard into a botanical garden for everyone to enjoy. She was known and loved by everyone in Monroe.

Those left to honor her memory include her twin sister, Eleanor; a brother Paul (Sharon) Masters; nieces and nephews, Mike (Laurie) Masters, Pam (Dave) McCumber, Kim (Randy) Costello and Brenda (Jim) Tudor; and great nieces and nephews, Sean Masters, Nikki Miller, Tyler McCumber, Nathan McCumber, JamesTudor, Jon Tudor, Jesica Tudor, Jenefer Tudor and Katie Costello. Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Ralph Masters.
