Diosa Elena Navarro
September 4, 1948 - August 18, 2020

Diosa Elena Navarro, 71, of West Park, NY, passed on August 18, 2020 at her residence with her family by her side. She was born on September 4, 1948 in New York, NY and was the daughter of the late Jose and America (Rivera) Navarro.

Diosa was a dedicated worker and very talented in her personal life. She put herself through school and worked professionally as a Histology Technician. She concluded her career at Benedictine Hospital in Kingston, NY. As an accomplished artist in multiple disciplines, Diosa showed significant talent in photography in her earlier days, focusing on flowers and the beauty in nature. She also worked with ceramics and created numerous beautiful pieces. Later in life, she made jewelry, dabbled in leatherwork, and excelled in craftwork. Some of her best craftwork included beautiful keepsake boxes for which she employed several disciplines that she practiced through the years. Diosa thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors and was fond of nature walks and hiking. She loved food and was an avid cook. She also loved black powder shooting through which she formed many friendships.

She is survived by her loving family including her daughter, Michelle McLaughlin; her partner, Jack Hansberry; her siblings Nelson Navarro, Al Navarro, Barbara Navarro, Edwin Bosques and Jose Bosques; and her many nieces and nephews.
