Hedwig Kucher, formerly of Willingboro, NJ, died peacefully on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at the Artman Lutheran Home in Ambler, PA. She was 84 years old.

Hedwig was born in Grafenwöhr, Germany, the daughter of the late Anna Hacker. She was a devoted wife and mother of three daughters and a beloved grandmother of two grandchildren.

Hedwig was an avid traveler, having visited Japan, Greece, Spain, France, Italy, Czech Republic, Thailand, England, Austria, Brazil, California, Utah, New York, New Orleans, New Mexico and British Columbia. Hedy had a great love for nature and enjoyed visiting national parks, such as Yosemite, Sequoia, Capitol Reef, Mesa Verde, Acadia and Arches. Her husband's military service allowed her to live in Vicenza, Italy, Fort Huachuca, Arizona, Ravenna, Ohio, and finally Willingboro, New Jersey. She also enjoyed visiting her husband's family in Salt Lake City, Utah. Hedy was a supporter of the arts and frequented museums, Broadway plays, and local botanical and sculptural gardens. She was a member of the Willingboro International Club and enjoyed staying active at the Willingboro Senior Center.

Hedy often visited her hometown of Grafenwöhr with her daughters and grandchildren, bestowing on them the love of her country and family abroad. She kept her native culture alive by teaching her grandchildren the customs and traditions of her German heritage. She was greatly admired for her impeccable taste, sense of style, strength of character, resilience and deep devotion to her family.

Hedwig was preceded in death by her beloved husband George in 2015. She is survived by her loving daughters, Petra Dorsch and her husband Marc, of Washington Crossing, PA; Barbara Bowdler and her husband Joel, of Ambler, PA; and Angela Kucher of Willingboro, NJ. She is the dear grandmother (Oma) of Kirstin VanSkiver and her husband Tyson, and Brian Bowdler.
