Karen M. (Harms) Dalton, 77, of Yates City, IL, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2020, in the city of Bradenton, FL, where she resided .
Karen was born on October 14, 1942 in Peoria, IL, to Oscar John " Bud" and Roberta Harms who preceded her in death.
She was first married to William E Oyler and later to Kenneth Dalton in Peoria, IL, in 1984, who preceded her in death in 2015.
Surviving are her children: Byron E Oyler, of Cary, NC, and Keri Clifton of Jacksonville, FL; her siblings: John Harms, Jean Sylvester, Peg Ralston, and Mike Harms. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Casey Clifton, Isabella Oyler, and Milo Clifton. Her brother George preceded her in death.
Karen grew up in Yates City, IL, where she attended school before moving to Peoria, IL, where she was parishioner of First English Lutheran Church .
She notably worked at Caterpillar Tractor and Muti-Ad Services while there and supplemented with various freelance opportunities in graphic and artistic design.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, and was held dear by all who knew her. She was devoted to her family and was a born nurturer. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world and she cherished them dearly.
Karen was a profoundly creative person and a woman of faith. She was a supremely talented, strong, loving, independent traveler of the world. Those who were fortunate enough to have been a part of her life and love are forever grateful.

Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Elmwood is in charge of arrangements.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, October 17, 2020, at Elmwood Township Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
