I've known Ed through the CMA family and he was always willing to help a fellow biker (or anyone else for that matter) with anything they might need concerning their bikes. He certainly helped me with mine so my daughter could go on rides with me. He was a funny joker and I always looked to Rosie to see if he was just pulling my leg, which he usually was. Edward age 80, went home to be with his Lord, Tuesday, August 25, 2020. He was born in 1939 in Oceana County, MI to Jacob (Jake) and Myrtle (Beardsley) Achterhoff. He married JoAnn Johnson in 1960 and later married Roseanna (Rosie) Beaune in April 1990. He had work at several jobs in his life time, but had been employed most recently at Jesse's Snowplowing and then Muskegon Brake before retiring in 2002. Survivors include his wife Roseanna, 3 sons, Brian, Steve, and David (Carrie), a stepson Allen (Elizabeth) Beaune, 8 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, his sisters, Anne Taylor and Pasty Frase. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Delores Walker, Lulabelle Horter and Betty Best, their spouses, and his brother Donald.
There will be no public services, a memorial service will be held at later date as a celebration of his life of service to others, both in his personal and spiritual life.
