"I remember Richard well, although I have not seen him for many years. A fine man and a good Marine. Rest In Peace. "

Lee and Sharyn Eischen wrote on Sep 7, 2020:

"Our deepest sympathy to you, Pam, and Greg in the loss of your father. No matter how old a parent is it is always difficult when they leave this earthly home. We know what good, kind and loving care you gave to your dad so you may remember him with wonderful memories of times and trials shared. May he rest in peace. Your neighbors, Lee and Sharyn Eischen"

Carol Sattre Johnson wrote on Sep 5, 2020:

"My sympathy to all of the family. I have fond memories of playing at your house in Douglas. It was always fun. As I am reading the obituary, I am wondering if Diana, Dale, Bonnie and Richard could get together sometime with us as we live at Milltown, Wisconsin. We are about one hour south of Danbury and 2 hours south of Superior. We are one mile off Wisconsin 35. Hopefully, we can get in touch."

Pamela Reich wrote on Sep 5, 2020:

"My Dad was one of the kindest men there was. The years him and Mom lived with us were filled with fun, heartache memories and so much love! Greg and I feel empty as does everyone that knew him. I am the luckiest daughter who married a man that put up with our casino trips, rides and coming in at 4 in the morning trying to be quiet. Thank you to my Dad for making new memories right to the end. "

Barb Kunz wrote on Sep 4, 2020:

"I wish to extend deepest sympathies to my cousins in the loss of their father and my uncle. Richard was a quiet man but had a great sense of humor. Some of my memories of Richard are him as Santa Claus holding me as a toddler and (as toddlers are sometimes known to do) bawling my eyes out (dad had a great picture of that!); his preference for warm Pepsi; his love for deer hunting; his hearty laugh when something struck him funny. I could go on and on. I also thank him for his honorable service to our country. We'll all miss him dearly, and I know dad, for sure, will have greeted him at the pearly gates of Heaven! Take care and God bless, Barb K"
