Hanh Thi McCormack
February 2, 1948 - September 2, 2020

Hanh Thi McCormack, 72, passed away peacefully on September, 2nd 2020 with her family by her side. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be Saturday, Sept 12th at 11 AM at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church on 7180 Hemlock Lane N, Maple Grove, MN 55369.
Hanh was born in Mo Duc District, Quang Ngai, Vietnam to Nguyen Noi and Tran Thi Luong. Hanh met her husband, an American GI name Steve McCormack while she worked at the US Army base in Cam Ranh Bay. Steve brought mother and daughter Kim to Minnesota in 1973, where Hanh and Steve married in December 1973. Steven and Hanh have one son named Jack.
Hanh loved gardening and was a farmer at heart, growing native Vietnamese vegetables and bringing them to friends and market during the Summer months. Everything she touched in the garden flourished. She also liked fishing, visiting with friends, and talking to her relatives in Vietnam. Hanh was known for her generosity, kindness, and love for God.
She is survived by husband Steve, son Jack, daughter Kim Gall (McCormack), and granddaughters Katherine and Natalie, her sisters Gi Sau (Lan), Gi Muoi, Gi Mot.
