He is survived by his father, Larry Daugherty; mother, Sherry Ginsburg; brother, Michael Ginsburg; uncle and aunt, Keith and Pam Daugherty; cousin, Diane Daugherty; aunts, Brenda Daugherty, Norma Rogers; and cousins, Allison Rogers Leppard, Christy Rogers White, Heather Morgan Galloway, and Crystal Hillis Daugherty.

Sherry Ginsburg wrote on Nov 8, 2020:

"Chad was laid to rest on October 17, 2020 with this poem which he had in his notebook: I'm Free Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free, I've followed the path God laid for me. I took his hand when I heard him call. I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, to laugh, to love, to work or play. Work undone must stay that way, I found God's peace at the close of the day. If my parting has left a void, please fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss; oh, yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I savored much. Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, don't try to lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me, God wanted me now, so He set me free. Posted by Chad's Mom"
