March 30, 1976 - September 6, 2020

Boe D. Lovain, 44 of Manson formerly of Fort Dodge passed away on Sunday September 6, 2020.
A Celebration of life will be held on Friday at 10:30 AM at Laufersweiler Funeral Home. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Laufersweiler Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife Heather, sons Trevor and Ayden, daughter Aleah, mother Dixie (Al) Aspholm of Manson, Father Roger Lovain of Georgia, mother‐in‐law Bonnie Frank of Fort Dodge.
He was preceded in death by his step dad Kent McWilliam, father-in-law Don Frank and his infant son Landyn.
Boe Dale Lovain was born on March 30, 1976 in Fort Dodge. He attended schools in Fort Dodge. Boe worked at Carpet World for several years and then entered the field of wind energy, where he has been for the last 14 years, currently employed with BHI Energy. He loved working on the wind turbines, he was on top of the world every day! Boe was a very solid worker with a strong work ethic. He had a wealth of knowledge and experience in the wind industry. He was critical to the success of many wind projects, which took him around the country. On February 15, 2003 he was united in marriage to Heather Frank and the couple established their home in Fort Dodge. Boe and Heather have been together since they were in middle school. It's always been "Boe and Heather" and always will be. He enjoyed fishing, hiking, golfing, kayaking down the river, being outdoors and barbeques with family and close friends He had a love for music that was unmatched. Boe's presence was always known, he could walk into a room of strangers and instantly make friends. Boe had a heart of gold. His smile could light up a room and his bellowing laugh will be hard to forget. Boe will live on in the hearts of his wife and children and will never be forgotten.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
