"So very sorry to hear Aunt Zenna passed away. I loved her laugh and infectious smile. Nancy Frerichs is right, Aunt Zenna's eyes did have a special twinkle and sparkle. I loved how special she always made me feel. She let me play with Kathy's wind up muscial teddy bear with a removable fur coat that revealed a black and gold stripped body. She only let me hold it and play with it if I promised to be careful with it. I think that is my first memory of being taught to respect others belongings. I remember family camping vacations as a child with Aunt Zenna and Uncle Leo traveling along. I remember playing at the farm and getting to sit at the dinning room table for a special sugar cookie treat presented on a special plate. Special, that is what Aunt Zenna was and how she made me feel. I do hope I have that sugar cookie recipe. I remember being at family reunions and was always so very glad to see Aunt Zenna. I share her love of needlework, sewing and quilting. I will think of her fondly as I engage in these activities. So dearly loved, my favorite, Aunt Zenna."
