Elexa K. Diehl, 28, of Council Bluffs, IA passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. A private family service will be held.
Elexa was born in Ottumwa on October 29, 1991 to Shane Holmes and Tosha Diehl. She grew up in Waterloo and Albia, Iowa and graduated from Albia High School with the class of 2010. Following high school, Elexa went to La'James International College. She moved to Des Moines where she began raising her daughter Harlee, they later moved to Council Bluffs. Elexa loved spending time with her family, music, tattoos, hair and make-up, and shopping.
Those left to cherish her memory are her parents Tosha (Joe) Mowatt, and Shane (Michelle) Holmes; daughter Harlee Polson; siblings Dakota See, Colin Mowatt, Terrin Padilla, and Tate Padilla; grandparents Kevin (Janice) Diehl, Lorraine Bjornson and Isabelle Bradley, Judy Rogers, and Pat Murphy; great-grandmother Darlene Diehl; significant other Jack Olson; uncle Ryan (Jessica) Bjornson; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her aunt Shelly Bjornson, grandparents Charles (Betty) Jones, and great-grandparents James Diehl, Duane Runyon, and Anabelle Higgins.
