Larry Taylor wrote on Sep 30, 2020:

"Jim was Mary's "Big" Brother: loved, respected, and admired. But more than that, he was "Uncle Jim" to our family. We may have lived miles apart, but in phone calls he always asked what the kids (and later grandkids) were doing, how they were, what new interests they had. No child's birthday or Christmas passed with out a card and gift from "Uncle Jim". We will miss you Jim. Larry Taylor, Salmon, Idaho."

Sonja Burkett wrote on Sep 29, 2020:

"We were so fond of Jim since our days together at Iowa State--mostly at the Theta Xi fraternity house. He was a groomsman in our wedding 54 years ago. We always looked forward to his Christmas card on which he wrote a newsy note about his activities. R.I.P. Good Friend! Ron & Sonja Burkett-Bella Vista, AR"
