Cynthia "Cindy" Ruehmann
December 26, 1946 - September 27, 2020

Cynthia "Cindy" Louise Ruehmann, 73, of Caledonia, previously of Rochester, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at Caledonia Rehab and Assisted Living.

Cindy was born in Rochester at St. Marys Hospital on December 26, 1946. She graduated from John Marshall High School in Rochester and worked at Paced Dairy Foods as a Leader for 24 years. After retirement, she went on to manage Arby's.

She was married to Louis Ruehmann for 27 years and they had two daughters, Leona Ruehmann and Gidget King. She was previously married to James Oelkers and they had a son Harland J Oelkers.

As a child Cindy loved to ride horses, paint, draw and read books. As she got older, she fell in love with cats and had many that she cared for over the years. One of her favorite authors was Steven King, she had all of his books on hard cover. Cooking was one of her many passions. She loved to have the family over and have a nice meal. She always made everyone feel welcome. One of her favorite sports was drag racing. She won many trophies and even a powder puff championship. She also loved gardening and canning and many other crafts.

She was an extremely loving and caring lady to all of her friends and family; she will be dearly missed by all that knew her and loved her. She was a beloved mother, sister and grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her daughters, Leona Ruehmann of Stewartville, and Frances King of Faribault; son, Harland Oelkers; brothers, Mike (Linda) Bryan and Bob Bryan; sister, Carol Bryan, grandchildren, Samuel Ruehmann and Chelsea Farnham and one great granddaughter, Izabell Ruehmann

She was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Bryan; mother, LeVon Rausch; brother, Ben Bryan and sister, Susie Bryan.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 2, 2020 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
