William Henry Harrison, VIII, 66, better known as Bill, a longtime resident of Ulster County, passed away Saturday September 26, 2020 at home. He was born in Glen Cove, NY on July 9, 1954, son of the late William H. Harrison, VII and Patricia (Simpson) Harrison.

If you knew him, you loved him. He was a person of many skills. He, with the help of his brother and friends build an A-frame house in Accord, NY. Together, they also built a cabin. Bill was a free spirit who went where life took him. He enjoyed sailing and going to the movies. He had a fondness for The Blues Brothers. Above all else, he believed in helping people less fortunate than himself.

Bill is survived by his children, William H. Harrison, IX, and his wife Michelle of Albany, NY, and Meghan Harrison of Upper Marlboro, MD, his siblings, Shirley Paley and her husband Bruce of Hurley, NY, Pamela Grue and her husband William of Chandler, AZ, Wayne Harrison of Kerhonkson, NY, Jennifer Straub of Melbourne, FL, Ellen Cordaro of Hurley, NY, and Christine Cordaro of Hurley, NY, his uncle, John Rougas, his aunts, Cecilia Rougas and Ingrid Reghetti, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his step-father, Joseph Cordaro.
