Lena Eloise Smith
Canton- Lena Eloise Smith, 90, of Canton, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at her home in Canton.
She was born on November 12, 1929 in Marietta to Wayne and Louise (Bagley) Yocum. They preceded her in death.
She married Earl Jennings on August 5, 1947 and he preceded her in death on March 31, 1971. She later married Kenneth Smith on December 29, 1984. He preceded her in death on July 16, 2012.
Also preceding her in death is one son Larry Jennings and one sister Alberta Holmes.
She is survived by one daughter Lisa (Jerry) Nesbitt, three stepchildren, Kenneth William "Mike" (Laurel) Smith Jr., Karen (the late Kenneth) Fetterman, and Kathy (Bob) Mitchell, one sister Georgia (Ken) Baker, one grandson, Jacob Nesbitt, and several nieces and nephews.
Lena graduated from Bushnell Highschool in 1947. She was a homemaker and decorated and sold cakes from her home for many years.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday October 10, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton where visitation will be held one hour prior to the services.
Burial will be held immediately following the services at Avon Cemetery in Avon.
Due to COVID 19 mandates a Facial Covering will be required.
Memorials may be made to American Kidney Association.
