In loving memory of

Rhea Ann Dickson
April 11, 1934 - October 8, 2020

Rhea Dickson (Rhea Ann Collier) of Rochester, MN passed away at her home October 8,2020.

She was born to Olla and Cecil Collier on April 11, 1935 in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Growing up in Chagrin Falls OH, she performed comedy routines with her friend, the future comedian Tim Conway. She maintained this wit and a twinkle in her eyes throughout her life. She attended Denison University where she was a member of the Theta sorority and formed life long friendships with a group of women (the dirty dozen) who gathered together every year until the passing years made group smaller and it harder for those who remained to travel. She married E Rolland (Rollie) Dickson after college. She was a devoted mother to her sons, Rolland and Mark, creating a home that always welcomed their friends and, in the future years, their families. Rhea had 5 grandchildren (Morgan, Mark, Graham, Anna and Jackson Dickson), and one great grandson Rayne, who loved her dearly. She weathered many personal challenges with grace and dignity including the need at age 70 to begin life anew, buying a house, managing her finances for the first time on her own, and adopting her beloved dog Chloe. She became a master of bridge, traveled extensively, stayed loyal to old friends and found a whole group of new ones. She was known for her humor, kindness, generosity and quiet wisdom. She was until the very end, her "mother's daughter" in strength, compassion and kindness, giving and helping people without saying a word and neither asking or accepting anything in return. The family would like to give special thanks to her beloved granddaughter-in-law Jacque - for her loving support of their mother these last years.

A Memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, October 16, 2020 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester, MN. The service will be live streamed at the time of the service on Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes Facebook page. Inurnment will be held at The Congregational Church Memorial Garden Columbarium.
