Mrs. Nancy McIntyre, age 78, passed away Friday, October 2, 2020. She was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on July 6, 1942 to Luis & Antonia (Martinez) Ortiz. She arrived in the United States on April 11, 1952. Nancy married Jerry McIntyre on April 24, 1999. Mrs. McIntyre held a variety of positions throughout her life, including certified machine operator, social worker for DSS, outreach counselor for Every Woman's Place, security guard, and sold cars. She had been employed as a certified Nurses Assistant at Brookhaven Medical Care Facility before retiring. Nancy liked to crochet, travel with her husband, visit with friends and family, and she loved to go shopping.
SURVIVORS
Husband, Jerry of North Muskegon; children, Phillip (Estie) Thompson of Grant; Judith (Bill) St.Amour of Norton Shores; Robin (John Harding) Morris of Muskegon; Grandchildren Rhiannon, Melissa, Jessica, Phillip Jr., Cassie, Larry, Morgan, Steve, Kendra, and Kennedy; 11 great grandchildren; constant companions, pet cats Jasmine and Abbie; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Steve Thompson, grandson Will Rodriguez; siblings Tony Ortiz, Irma Therrian, Lillian Broughman, Nidia Lindsley and Walter Ortiz.
SERVICE
