"Herman was a great friend of my husband and I. We spent a lot of time with him at his cabin in Hayward. We had a lot of fun times! He will be missed! "

"Great Man. Was my bus driver. He was stern but fair with us PIA?s. He could wheel a bus through the Minnesota Winters like no one else. However, most of us on the route didn?t like that fact as it limited our snow days. Great respect and prayers for him and family. "

Tia Whipple wrote on Oct 15, 2020:

"Thankful he dealt with me as a kid having me join him in the tractor, saving a few rows of corn just so I could tag along! He always got a good laugh out of me with how excited I would get, and somehow didn't get tired of all of my questions, or at least didn't admit he was tired of them! Rest in peace, Uncle Herman. Love and miss you, always."
