Brian David Rafter
June 4, 1971 - September 18, 2020


Brian D. Rafter, age 49, of Seattle, WA passed away from liver disease on September 18, 2020, surrounded by loved ones.
Brian was born in Farmington, MN to Kenneth Rafter and Sharon Johnstone Rafter (Robertson). He spent much of his childhood growing up in his mother's home state of AK. He graduated high school in Wasilla, AK in 1989. Brian obtained many technical certifications that led him to a career as an Systems Engineer and IT Manager. -
Brian's sense of humor and generosity will always be remembered. He loved all things tech, cooking and he was a Subaru enthusiast. He made the world a better place with his wit, ability to light up the room and make you laugh until you cried. Brian recently returned to his faith as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and wished his loved ones to be comforted by the Bible's promises.
Brian was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
Brian is survived by daughter Penny Rafter age 10, loving co-parent Amy Rafter, mother Sharon Robertson, sister Liesl (Scott) Henz, brothers Clint Robertson, Kevin Hebert and Matt Ruthenbeck, nephew Aarich Ramsey, niece Rainy (Gammy) Villarreal, great nephew Fox Villarreal, niece Everest Villarreal, his close friends Melanie Olsen, Chris Alejano many other good friends.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Swedish Cherry Hill and First Hill Hospitals and Cascade Memorial for their caring support.
