"God bless you Ruth! Amazing you made it to 102!. You were always a wonderful person to me and my family. We kept in touch many years after Grandpa John passed away but our contact faded the past 10 years when we moved to the West Coast. You had a wonderful personality and wit. I always considered you family and hope you rest in peace. "

"Ever since I can remember, when I recall times I spent with of my grandpa, John McCutchen Jr, there was his close friend, Ruth Wagner. At Christmases, Thanksgivings, birthdays, random non-holiday gatherings, whatever the occasion she attended them all! To me she was always another member of our family. After Grandpa passed away I wasn?t sure what had become of her. I was full grown with kids of my own & after years of not hearing anything about Ruth I had assumed that she must?ve passed away by then as well ... I am deeply saddened to learn that we could have kept in contact ss she had remained in FD this whole time! I hope she didn?t think I just turned my back on her or cut her out of my life after Gramps died because that was not the case at all!! I hope she?s up there with him again, telling him to ?turn that darn tv down? again & that she knows I always loved her. Thank You Ruth for the years of companionship you gave my dear Grandpa John & for the countless childhood memories you gave me. Deepest condolences to your entire family ?"
